1999 all over again

A while back I had basically thrown in the towel on gun rights in California and felt like I was lucky I could even own a shotgun to go hunting. Recreational shooting was pretty much dead to me.

Then about a month back, after a great deal of time having not been there I visited RCGE and was shocked at what I saw: it looked like it was 1999!!! Everything from Bushmaster ACRs, AK-74s, and AR-15s were back on the shelves!!! True, they had bullet buttons installed, but this is still a huge leap forward from the only options in semi-autos being the M-1 Garand/M-14 and the Ruger Mini-14/30.

Still not good enough. We all need to quit accepting compromises on our 2nd amendment rights so we'll be able to choose what firearms we want to own and enjoy. I will personally never purchase any rifle with a bullet button, after all, whats the point.

The point is getting more EBRs into the hands of the public, thereby exposing a wider audience to such guns, and helping to prove that these laws are pointless and based on illogical thinking.

Also, once the law changes, it's only going to be a matter of about 2 minutes to swap the parts necessary to turn most of these back into their intended configuration.

Yours is a very welcome observation here! There are a lot of us here on this board, myself included, who didn't even own any firearms in '99!!
