Seeking Opinion on Sentry Gun Safes

In my search for a general safe for long guns and misc., I have narrowed my search to a Sentry Safe that is available at costco.com and a similar one at walmart.com

These Sentry Safes appear to be the same in specs, but Costco is $649 and Walmart is $499.

Do you think there is an advantage by buying from Costco vs. Walmart if these safes are the same?

What is your opinion of Sentry?

imo you would do well to look on the secondary market for a safe when your budget is limited. you can stretch your money up to two or three times it's retail store value. CL is a good place to hunt for a safe; so is the forum here on Calguns.

whatever safe you consider for purchase, buy one you will grow into instead of one you will grow out of. a safe fills up fast.

imo the major plus of a "new" safe purchase is the warranty. a warranty is only as good as the company that backs it up. if buying a new safe, you would be wise to research the actual companies that build and sell safes before you consider individual safe models for purchase.
