    Howdy!

    Hey all,

    I just wanted to say that I've been a long time viewer, even before I created my account in late 2008. I will be in and out of these forums more often now, becoming more actively involved in discussion. Speaking of discussion, I'm beginning my first AR-15 build (assembly) very soon. I recently ordered my JD Machine Calguns.net OLL - the 10 day DROS period has begun! Ahh...

    I'm located in the Orange County area, more specifically Seal Beach.

      Have you decided what type of AR to build? Plinker, CQB, Target rifle?

          Loosely. I suppose it will in the end be a plinker, although, I want to possibly use as home defense as well. Here's what I'm thinking about doing project-wise.

          Lower Receiver: JD Machine Calguns Bear Logo (Awesome serial number, btw haha)
          Lower Parts Kit: Rock River Arms, OR Stag Arms
          Upper Receiver: BCM/Stag Arms 16" Mid Length
          Stock: Magpul or the RRA M4, and possibly a vertical fore grip depending on feel
          2 or 3 pmag 10/30 magazines

          That's ROUGHLY the idea. I've been trying to do as much research as possible. Any suggestions are most definitely welcome.
