    Greetings from Placentia!

Hi there, I'm Les K. I'm new on here and returning to shooting after a long stint in the archery world. I don't own a pistol at this moment since I just sold my Ruger P-90 to a co-worker but the good news is that I turned around and purchased a Smith and Wesson Performance Center stealth hunter yesterday. Now that agonizing wait!

I've been lurking here for awhile before joining and appreciate the information that has been posted for all to learn from!

Welcome Les. I was not familiar with the S & W you mentioned, so I looked it up. .44 Mag, looks really nice. Should be a nice shooter. I would love to have a .44 Mag. Most of my stuff is old, but I like what I have.

Hey, I think that old stuff can be good stuff- There are many that pay a premium for that!

Yeah, that gun caught my eye right away. Some would say that it's really heavy, but believe me, it's nothing compared to the 7 to 10 pound target compound bows that we would hold out there at arms length! I was getting too old for that, and my shoulders and back started to complain. Besides, I think that heavier (within reason) equals a more stable sight picture since it's not a carry or home defense weapon anyway.

I also just realized that my pick up day and time is on a Sunday when the shop will be closed, and the day after that is Memorial Day when they'll also probably be closed! Ha Ha on me- an extra two days!
