Inserting video

I know how to post a link on a thread, but how do you actually put the video in the post?

i know with pictures you do [img ] [/img ].

Your best bet would be to upload it to YouTube (or similar video sites) and then insert the "embed" code they provide into your message. Or can you can just paste a link to the video.
If you have your own server space... just upload it and paste a link.

It's a little tricky and not exactly the clearest thing - the 'embed' code they give you on YouTube doesn't work with Vbulletin.

Do this: upload the video or find whatever video you want show on the forum. Then click the 'SHARE' button and YouTube will display a little bit of code like below:

"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrZcoCsVbXk"

The part you need is the last bit: "mrZcoCsVbXk" you can delete the rest.

Wrap the "mrZcoCsVbXk" part with the VBulletin YouTube code by highlighting it and clicking the YouTube button on the post edit toolbar and you get this:

YOUTUBE]mrZcoCsVbXk[/YOUTUBE (I'm leaving out the first and last bracket so you can see what I mean.

And THAT will finally get the video to display properly like this:
