I'm new!

36 years old. Dad introduced me to shooting with a .22 bolt action that he told me was a national guard trainer for the Springfield. He still has it but I haven't shot it since I was 15.

Decided it was high time to get back into shooting now that my young ones are hitting the age where they need to know firearms safety, and because I've always loved it. Currently gunless except the aforementioned .22 in my father's closet. Picking up a gun safe and a Ruger 10/22 with my tax return, then signing up for an Appleseed weekend.

Nice to find a forum full of reasonable and impassioned people.
