There is various things out there about it. Glocks are a great gun. They do have a different grip angle than most other guns and some do have issue shooting low and to the left. I know I do but have gotten much better. the Xd are a great gun. The wife might end up liking it. That is my wife's shtf gun.

Hi everyone, yet another (*sigh*) newbie here. I promise I will try to not ask questions that are painfully stupid, just annoying. And also slightly stupid (keeping it real).
I suppose my story is no more interesting than anybody else's, but for full disclosure or whatever, I'm still reasonably liberal/progressive and only slowly coming around to this side of American gun culture.
But I think dogma in any field is lazy, and I don't believe in living the unexamined life. Hence, my cautious steps into gun ownership and knowledge.
I'm impressed by the ground level growth of this forum and the civility and nuanced opinions of its contributors. You should be proud of your members!
Anyhoo, thanks for assisting a skeptic towards Enlightenment

Intro
New member here on the forum! Heres a little short, concise introduction of myself...
New to CGN but not new to this hobby! First got started in shooting in when I went with a couple of friends about 10 years ago and immediately got hooked! Served with the US Army for 6 1/2 years as a Combat Engineer and deployed to AFG twice. Recently moved back to CA last year after my contract was up and now currently an Auto Tech. I have in the past built 2 AR15's- one in 5.56/223 Rem and the other in 300 BLK and have owned an FNP-40. Currently own a SigSauer SP2022 in .40 and building an AR-15. I have a couple other AR-15 lowers waiting to built, but I need to finish this one first.
Cheers!Comment

Hi from Northern Cal
Just want to introduce myself. I'm from northern Cal, and picked up my first purchased handgun yesterday (Shield 9mm). I inherited a 1903 Colt .32 about 25 years ago, but didn't shoot it much, if at all before now. Given my day at the shooting range yesterday, I suspect that I will be spending a lot more of my paycheck on ammo (1), because it's a lot of fun, and (2) I really need the practice. I'm getting pointers from a buddy of mine who suggested this forum. Some of the discussions on the M&P 9mm I've already read have been really informative, so thanks! Look forward to learning enough to maybe be able to provide constructive input as well.Comment
