Well, here I am living in (mostly) free America (Nebraska), when I find a great woman who lives in Cali.

I will be moving to Northern Cal sometime in the first week of June.

I have read a bunch if things here and talked with some people, but can't seem to get one solid answer about moving there with my firearms; specifically my AR's. I am guessing that I have 60 days to make them compliant? If they are not an "assault weapon" do I still need to register them? Juggernaut Tactical sells a kit that makes them CA compliant so no need to register (???). Sorry. I know these questions have been beaten to death and beyond...

Anyway, I have been a frequent visitor the last couple of months and like area. Good people, great food and a tolerable climate. Although I prefer winter (snow) & fall the most. This summer will be "interesting" at best. LOL.

Looking forward to meeting some new people and making new friends. Certainly looking forward to learning more about CA laws.

I read that, but am not sure if the 60 days to register applies to my Neb legal (non CA compliant) AR's. Do I also have 60 days to make them compliant?

Welcome aboard!

Suggest you modify your AR into compliance before you cross our State line. No grace period. Once you cross into California you can be arrested for a non compliant AR.

Hi everyone! My name is Rom from SF. Finnaly joined CALGUNS! Heard a lot of good things on the site and been reading quite few threads. I recently bought my first gun CZ 97 B. Been around with guns since youth, so i finnally decide to get one. My friend Spring45 introduced me to hunting here in CA, tho im a bit familiar to back in my hometown, tho its been long time ago.
