Mid 30's guy living in Yolo county, only been hunting and collecting firearms a few years now, but thankfully have family and older friends raised in the environment to learn from. Looking forward to learning more, and helping out where I can.

Hi Everyone, Thanks for the Semiauto rifle ban flowchart as it helps simplify the laws. I'm in Los Angeles, have 2 handguns (Glock & Taurus pre-ban) and a new DPMS Oracle.

I was planning to purchase an AR-15 this summer after Turners Shooting fair but I got caught up in the craziness of the potential assault weapons ban and bought what was left figuring it was better to have one than none. I was looking to "buy once and cry once" but I may buy another if I get another chance later when stores restock in 6 to 12 months.

Hi everyone! I've been reading around these forums for a bit and finally decided to register. I'm a long time gun enthusiast, and have recently picked up my first AR. The only other guns I've owned is an older 1911 (kind of a family heirloom from my grandfather), a .30-06 (my very first rifle), and a standard run of the mill 12ga shotgun.

Now that I have my AR (and can't find squat for it like everyone else), I'm looking for another .45 to take to the range. I've got my choices narrowed down to a few models, but haven't pulled the trigger so to speak. Looking forward to getting to know some of you and expanding my knowledge. Cheers!

Found the site while looking for pics of non-black AR's and thought the atmosphere was most excellent. Hope you guys don't mind a southerner (NOT a redneck/hick/hillbilly!) in your midst. I promise not to tell y'all how we do it "here". LOL!

FWIW, I have been to California several times drag racing with my family. We ran in Bakersfield, Pomona, and Sonoma back in the early-mid 90's.
