    How to determine gun value

I own a Colt single action Army that I have had about 20 years and have never fired nor turned the cyclinder. I also have a presentation case. Originally when I bought it I was going to join the Single Action Shooting Society and this was going to be my shooter. Never joined it and now I would like to sell it and use the money for guns I would shoot. Colt only produces these guns now by special order thru their Custom Shop and the price starts at $2,000. The blue book on the gun is only 1/2 of that. I'm not interested in selling it for the half price and think about $1,500 or so would be right. Any ideas?
