    First timer from Santa Cruz

    Hi all!

Been reading on this forum on and off for a while and now i finally signed up!

Being fairly new to the forum and the industry i have learned alot from reading here and it has been a great help! I just recently made my 2 first transactions.

    # 1, Mossberg 500 Marine, 18.5" barrel with pistol grip accessory, along with a 28" barrel with replacable chokes. ( i am about 1000 rounds thru and i love this gun for trap etc)

    # 2, Beretta 92FS, just decided on this handgun over the Memorial day weekend, the 10 days are moving slowly! Got a great transaction with the special Memorial sale dale from the Gun Vault in Mtn Veiw!

#3, ???? (thinking about a .308 Socom II) mostly for target shooting etc. Opinions???

    Thanks!!
    /Lars

Welcome to Calguns. Sorry to have to correct you on only your 10th post, but it's not "pricey".....it's just a larger investment.

Thanks guys! i just came home from the range with the 92FS. I had 3 scenarios where the second rd jammed in the slide ( always the second rd). The gun is brand new but it got me thinking this could not be normal? Or is it until broken in? I got about 150 rds through it today. Any input would be much appriciated!

ewww! that sucks. does that mean the slide isn't going all the way back. maybe a little limp wrist? spring still factory tight? anyways welcome to calguns. i bet if you put more explaination of what's going on someone here will have the answer for you.

Yes, the slide would get stuck half open, only on the second rd. I was thinking about the wrist, i focused more and it did not happen again after that. Yes, the spring factory tight, i was thinking about asking here before i call the shop where i got it to take a look at it.

                            Thanks!

I dono why everyone keeps saying 1911 for target shooting when .45 ammo is so expensive.

                              Target handgun: Ruger mk3

Target rifle: many will say Ruger 10/22, and its a good gun. If accuracy is all to you, then stick with a bolt action gun like Marlin 925 which I very highly recommend. AR is also a good option, but conversion kits cost as much as a new gun in another caliber lol
