Moving to CA, need a quick answer...

I currently own a Colt LE 6920 and am moving to CA.

I'm affraid no, as the 6920 is a listed model. It's listed as a CA assault weapon by name so the configuration doesn't matter.

You're going to have to ditch the receiver at the very least. Are you being transfered here via the military?

Yes you can swap out the lower. I would not risk the possesion of a "listed" stripped AR lower either.

Thanks. So if I want to just make my AR15 CA legal before I move, I can just buy a Essential Arms lower receiver and leave the Colt receiver behind, swap the birdcage flash hider with a muzzle break, and buy a 10 round magazine with a Prince50 kit?

Yes. You can also have the flash sup. and other "evil features" with the bullet button and 10 rounder.

Yes. Locked position when you have evil features attached. Open (fully functional) when out of State, or when you go featurless.
