I'm an Okie transplant living in Martinez, CA now. I stayed out here after leaving the Navy in 96 (God bless all our armed forces heroes!).
As I said, I grew up in Oklahoma, where hunting was as easy as walking out the back door, and you had your pick of the litter in what to shoot.
Now I'm in CA, been here for 15 years or so. Finally convinced my wife we need a handgun in the house and have begun the arduous process of figuring out what is legal in CA. Hence, I wound up here, thank you very much.
Also going to be asking questions about airline travel etc, as my dad has offered to give me my brothers (former police office, now passed away) Kimber .45 or a Springfield .45. I'll pose those questions in teh proper forums when I have a few minutes.
Most of all, just wanted to say hello, and thanks for taking the time to put up all this awesome information!
