    New from socal

hey everyone, i'm new to the forum. I have always had an interest in firearms but never really had the connections or knew the right people who are reputable, so i learned as much as i could myself. I turned 21 recently and i am looking at buying my 1st gun. I was thinking either glock 17 or ruger sr9, but i don't like the sr9 trigger. Maybe if the sr9 had a trigger upgrade then yes. However, i was also thinking about starting smaller and cheaper, like a 22 rifle to plink with or a 12 gauge shotgun for trap, skeet, and all around use. For the 22, i was looking at the ruger 10/22 but its too much for a 22 rifle imo. For the shotgun, i was thinking 870 express or maybe mossberg 500, although i don't like the mossberg's action it is substantially more affordable. Also my little brother is looking for a shotgun for around 300-400 and we found this used Browning BPS for 340. is that a good deal? Anyway thanks for adding me to the forums and hope to shoot with some of you soon.
