hey, im new to this forum. im trying to get info about getting a saiga 308. any info about getting one would be helpful.
it seems like there is restrictions about that type of gun for cali. thanx

Welcome to Calguns my friend. The Saiga .308 is legal in it's from the dealer form. Rifle stock, de-tachable mags, with no pistol grips or evil features. Take a peak at the AW flowchart and it will clear up the cobwebs for you. Be advised that even though it is completely legal in it's from the dealer form, some FFL's still will not touch it.

so where should i start, in order to get one?

1st take a peak at the AW flowchart so you are solid on what is legal and not.
2nd take a peak at some of the sponser banners, Peach State armory has some I think.
3rd, secure a FFL that is willing to accept the Saiga
4th, work out shipping between Dealer and FFL

That is true, hit the phones of your local dealers and you might get lucky. To the OP, If they have it in stock, they probably won't mind transferring it to you! By the way, make sure you call the governor to veto the AB962. Consider that payment for the advice.
