    Most asked question?

Just arrived from Florida, and I believe I sold all guns obviously not California legal. Much varying advice on what I need to do with remaining guns in my (now trimmed collection). I know my Florida CCW is no good here, regardless of the Sac county Sherrifs tounge in cheek remark that they would loosen up CCW permits due to budget cuts.

Question is, do I need to take each pistol down to the Sherrifs office with the registration form, pay $19 each and make them legal?

If so, do I need an appointment? Any other documentation? It sure is difficult to move to CA for a state that needs taxpaying immigrants (legal). I am actually afraid of the DMV with two cars, a Harley and trailer. It's not the money, bit people have told me it takes "days" when you throw the guns in the picture.

Any advice for a new resident is most appreciated.

My hip sure feels naked without my Kimber tucked in the waist...

    Thanks in advance.

Welcome and condolences. Start here. You do not need to go to the SO or PD with your guns.

Yup, highly recommend against showing up at the PD with your firearms. Welcome to CA, and enjoy your stay.
