I need advice on how to sell handguns here

    Hello,
It's been more than 2 years that I was last on Calguns.net. I would like to sell a couple of handguns. One is an off-roster (Mod 2) and the other is a Cali approved handgun (XD9), both are 9mm Springfield's. To be honest, it's been a while since I've even looked at the Cali approved roster and what I have may not even be approved anymore. I was wondering if I can get some advice on how to sell them here on Calguns assuming I can. The last time I sold here was not received well so I want to do it right per Calguns guidelines. Kindly advise. Thanks!

Kist handguns with price and location. No ship for off roster handgun. Arrange meet at ffl get money and do dros sign and leave and buyer finishes their paperwork. You can bump thread once every 24 hours. If you ship the on roster get all monies upfront and only ship to ffl. Never start dros without being paid in full.

Read the Marketplace Rules to start just in case you missed something last time.

You can sell off-roster handguns via PPT (Private Party Transfer) as long as the gun is otherwise CA legal.

Price the gun fairly and it should go fairly quickly.

If you are not sure of worth, post a thread in "General Gun Discussions" asking for help.

Round count, number of mags, general gun condition all helpful for pricing.

      Good luck.

        ...

        all of the above and...

being flexible on location greatly increases the buyer pool as they have to make 2 trips to the FFL...

calgunners without negative or zero iTrader ratings tend to be easier to work with...

text them what they need to bring to the FFL and get a confirmation reply they have those items before leaving your home...

for clean sales consider giving then a positive iTrader score, if the experience was a mess due to them, submit a negative score to warn the rest of us...
