Junior? Senior? What does it all mean???

What makes someone a Junior member vs a Senior member?

What are the various levels of membership, what do they mean and how are they attained?

Why do I see junior members that joined in 2008 and senior members that joined in 2012?

    Thanks

It is based on the number of your posts.
Off-topic forum does not count towards that total.
Does not mean much of anything otherwise.

Forgot the numbers, but I think 100 gets you past junior, 500 gets you to senior member.

Or it could mean you are old if you get "Senior" member status.

A Junior member will ask a question pertaining to guns.

A non contributing Senior member will tell them they are a retard.

          Yeah, based on post count.

Junior members have been determined to always be wet behind the ears so permanent label as junior. Senior members dribble when they pee so that label applies. (LOL)

Just like you're seeing some people join and then don't contribute much ( and by that I mean post much in any threads.)

Every post you make in every thread (with the exception of the OT off-topic forum , where your post do not count towards your total.) adds one more towards your total post count.

Then at certain amounts of total post you'll receive a term like junior, senior, veteran, addict, boss of bosses, El Jefe, Velocitor.. Etc...

I forget what the numbers are that you need to reach to get to the next level but it really doesn't matter because a better way to gauge someone here (in my opinion) is by their I-Trader rating. Which is something you do after every transaction with another member to show that you're both trustworthy and better than a stranger when dealing with buying or selling items from the marketplace here.

To sum up don't worry about it just keep posting.

Also if you want to have your Calguns name in a different color AND help calguns.net...
there are ways you can contribute financially and that would accomplish both of those things.

I have heard that people with high post counts purchase them from post farms in far off lands, similar to the way lazy MMO players accumulate gold from sweatshop gold farmers when they don't feel like grinding or participating in big keep raids.
