I had registered an M1a as an assault weapon back in the early 2000's because I did not change my original flash suppressor to a California legal suppressor. Is it possible to deregister the rifle with Ca DOJ by replacing the suppressor?

Post this up in the "How CA Laws Affect Me" section and see what happens.
There was a thread about problems deregistering recently, but for LEO I think.
