Catching up on threads… crap. Do I need to move before January 1st to keep my AR?!
What if I purchased the guns in California (I did) and I left them there before January 1st. Then I wouldn't be importing them and I would have legally possessed them prior to January 1st. How does it apply to stripped lowers?Sixth Generation Kalifornian -
Welcome back. Due to the new AW laws you may need to make your AR featureless prior to returning. Any magazines that hold more than ten rounds must be permanently blocked to ten rounds. The how CA laws Apply to / Affect me section might be your best source of info: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/f...play.php?f=349Comment

Hate to say it, your in a bit of a pickle. I'm not an expert so I won't offer bad advice. Ohh...welcome back to the crappiest state in the nation! Where the citizen rides in the back of the bus!^^^The above is just an opinion.

Hi again!
I just learned that the registration period was extended. I have been reading the main thread and I've picked up the gist of it, but I'd appreciate someone going over my plan and letting me know what I can and should do.
I have 1 built AR, 3 stripped lowers, and one LPK.
I would like to register 2 and keep 2 OTR or featureless.
If I understand correctly, I can only register a "full" gun with all the accessories installed, including forward grip, stock, etc. If that is the case, I am correct in reading that I can only register my 1 built AR? I can't register my stripped lower?
The upper/barrel is marked .223/5.56, but the lower is marked 6.8 SPC. Will that be a problem? (My other lowers are .223/5.56), so I could switch if needed.
Since it is in pieces from the move, I'd have to reinstall the BB when I put it back together (as it was when I left CA) and I cannot change away from the BB once registered, correct?
It's unclear if I can modify the features (replace stock, etc.) after registering, correct?
If that's all as I understand it, then I'll just re-assemble my 1 AR into a BB configuration and proceed with registration.
Thanks in advance!Sixth Generation KalifornianComment
