Ten days ago I purchased my first handgun from a local gun store Springfield XD.40. Today I get a dredging phone call from my dealer telling me the DOJ has placed a DELAY on my purchase! How long does this take? When will I get my handgun? I have no felonies, the only thing I can think of that delaying it would be a domestic violence in 12/2007 I wasn't charged but a emergency restraning order was placed but expired 4 days later. I can only guess because the DOJ has no info to give me at all no what where how when. All the lady told me was to wait for my dealer to call me with an answer, that could take anywhere from a couple of days to a few months! Total BS! Any advise any help what should I do?

Its not total BS.
Like you said you had a DM and a RO was ordered...even if it was for 4 days. That alone could disqualify you, you need to let them look into it and they will make the call. Just gonna have to wait and find out.AS45-70 -
