I just got an email update stating they are trying to pass legislation that all handguns must be equipped with biometric sensors that allow them to be " deactivated" remotely and only allow the registered " owner" to use them. Anyone know more about this? I won't be doing this to any of my weapons, but its going to suck not being able to buy new weapons if all the CA gun shops puss out and fall in line with this sort of debauchery.

I got that too, and read the bill. These guys are living in a fantasy world and can't discern reality. "James Bond has it so it's possible."
Prohibitively expensive, fragile electronics that disable a firearm if not working 100% have no business in a life-or-death scenario. And where would you put it on an existing gun? Every gun manufacturer in the world would politely say "Thanks but no, and eff you" if we actually passed this. -
That's exactly what i was thinking. My biggest concern is in the dependability. Modern electronics are prone to failure, as is the power source fueling Them. I'll be damned if I'm trusting my life to a micro computer telling my gun that its " okay for me to use" ... Not to mention, the last we need is a government that can disarm the entire nation with the simple push of a button...Comment

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment
