    Request to Moderators

I've been a member of Cal Guns forum for some years now and it has come to the attention of other members and myself that there opportunist taking advantage of the current situation and not only myself but other members find it insulting a slap in the face if you will. And I dont believe that it would unreasonable for Moderators to close down threads deamed offensive to long standing members, seeing as other threads are closed due to post deamed offensive. I only ask that you would consider this request and notify me of your decission. Thank you for your consideration and understanding.

Problem is...when does letting the free market be the market cross over to being offensive. That really is highly subjective.

If this were 2005 again pre-OLL, and you offered up for sale a $2000 AR, that was perfectly legal (non-FAB10, non-Vulcan) to own in CA. I would have paid it in a heartbeat. To own an AR in California, yes!!

Well after the OLL movement, thanks to the bullet button or no-feature builds, market prices for AR's became the same as for the rest of the free country.

So why would $2000 for an AR now be offensive, when 5 years ago, people would have lined up for it?? The market dictated lower prices, now the market is dictating higher prices, and pretty soon, the curve will drop again, and the prices will drop. Who determines offensive? For someone who hasn't bought an AR yet, and thinks they only have a small window to purchase, it may not seem so offensive to them, as it would to us.

After all who determines what a product is worth selling for? The buyer and the seller. Unless they are genuinely being ripped off and deceived. The over priced items in the market is not deception, it is just over priced. If I sold an AR or ammo, and said it is solid gold! That's right 24K gold. And then when the buyer opened it up and found out it isn't gold, then yes I have deceived them. But most buyers know the market is overpriced, and they are still willing to dive in. That's their money..it can't be helped if they have more money than common sense.

If the Moderators were to do this, just think of all the noobs that couldn't come here to sell their M&P15 Sports for $1800.

Does it matter what it costs? If it's worth it to you, then go for it. I paid $1260 OTD for my M&P15 three years ago, with a match trigger. Seems like a pretty good deal now.
