    Search Function

Why do only recent threads pop up?

What happen to to the older search function?

Seems like the shut down they just did caused the search function to no longer work properly or effectively. Was able to be specific about a search and get a lot of results before this morning. Now there are minimal results even for a major searches like "9mm" or "1911". Hope they can fix that...takes way too long to sift through all of the AR threads!

Yeh I just noticed this today when I tried to search for something in the for sale section.

Kes left a message at the other site (.org) that the DB change from yesterday was causing the search to reindex and it should be done soon.

Meanwhile, why can't you use the custom CGN Google search tool (in the upper header)?

I was about to report this. When they converted databases, probably couldn't keep the index. You have to re-index.

Be aware even the re-indexed search on this different software config, does not behave the same way as the old.

I'd suggest you use the "CGN Google Search" in the upper right corner for now.

Search is now completely broken within CalGuns Forums.

Not very effective when trying to narrow searches down to one sub forum

Any update to fixing the search function? It's impossible to find local ads in the marketplace right now.
