    Executive orders past and present.

Just heard on the news rag. Talk radio. Can the president of the USA use an executive order to ban or remove a type of weapon in the USA?
Does anyone in the leagal Dept think this could fly?

I thought laws has to go to Congress, then Senite then to the president.

So, Call me stupid, But what can executive orders can or cannot do?

    Thank you.

The powers of Executive Orders only really apply to the workings of the Federal Government. He could technically order all Federal Law Enforcement Officers to round up all the guns. OR he could order the ATF to do some shady crap and impound all the ammo in the USA. Does NOT mean it is legal.

So if an excitive order is issued, Then it is directed to the Federal law enforcment, and not to the public or to joe blow?

          Forgot to add this.

Has ANY President, in the past, signed an Executive Order to remove any item from the public and when?

Please correct the spelling on your thread title. You just lost all credibility with me.

Executive order 9102 creaded the WRA department which led to the internment of 120,000 citizens. This was preceeded by EO 9066 which laid the groundwork to allow it.

How do I change the title?

No, the body of your OP is still full of hoopla.

And, you can find a lot about EO with search engines.

You do live in a very nice town however.

                      This is not very reassuring.
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.

I can do many things. From Machine work to electronic repair.
But I failed at spelling and Goverment.
But this may not be a lot of hoopla. We will know in a few weeks.

They could do this again... To all citizens. Example: Withhold all payments, SS, SSI, ITR untill you provide proof that you do not own a firearm.

Almost like the Ban on Booze.
