The new style of the forum doesn't have any tools to mark the thread as read.It is harder to navigate .

Upper right hand corner under your user info and such: User CP > Edit Options > Scroll down to "Miscellaneous Options" > Forum Skin > CalGuns 1.0

When in a forum in the middle right there is Forum Tools > "Mark this Forum as Read"

FYI, you can also select "Calguns 1.0" from a drop-down menu at the bottom left of the page after it loads.
