    'Like' button

It may have been mentioned before, but I want to suggest a 'like' feature, sometimes known as a 'thumbs up' or '+1' for this forum. The idea is adopted from social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+, Yahoo! message boards, all major news outlets' message boards, etc. The purpose is to allow users to 'like' a post by any user and show a tally of likes. Some forums sort their post by highest number of likes at the top. For facebook it's just a way of showing agreement or intrigue by someone's post instead of commenting below saying "hey I like what you said and agree".
Not sure how it can be implemented into the forums here, may need some recoding but that's my 2 cent suggestion.

Your 'feedback' system is not quite the same.

A "Thanks" has been added to many forums, and this boosts someone's "rep", due to being a "Helpful" person. Many "Like" it...

I like the idea of this. Would be cool for it to be implemented in a rating system. But then again, we're powered by a certain forum provider (vBulletin) as we have been for a while; if the framework doesn't support that it may be a moot point. I don't see overhauling the forum any time soon.
