This site is painfully sloooooow again!

What is going on? It can’t be that difficult to update forum software….

It's virtually unusable. 20 second lags to post or login. Then half the time it brings up a gateway error message. Hoping it can get fixed as this is the main site for CA 2A folks for the past 10-15 years.

Yep, it's definitely not holding up to the stress test.

It's hit or miss. Sometimes it keeps timing out with a 504 error. it takes multiple tries to refresh the pages.
Other times it is a little bit slow. Most the time it's getting faster than before the upgrade to VB6.

No, it was better/faster before the software was changed.

I get through about 3 topics before it stops working at all.

And somewhere there must be a way to provide a button that will show all the posts made since the last time a member visited. That is a basic function that forums like this one always have. It’s got to be one of the most frequently used functions.

And any software without that function should have been rejected immediately.

I never used it, ever since joining Calguns. Why would I care about ALL the posts made? Like I really need to see all the fart, bacon, Yahoo news regurgitation, and Chevy vs. Ford posts, at all.

Regardless of use, that's like complaining the windshield wipers aren't working when the car won't start in the first place.

There is a lot more that needs to be done under the hood just to get this wreck past the '504 Gateway Timeout' roadblock it hits 95% of the time, before they get down to fixing the stripped accessory buttons.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Just as bad as the previous site. I mean, WTAF? I've pretty much given on this place. I know its free and everything but there is a limit to frustration. Too bad.

Seems like maybe progress is being made as the site seems to be working well/fast for me, right now anyway...

The site is basically working, then not working, then working then not working.

                              Consistently inconsistent.🤣
