    Calguns Flags?

    Hello everyone.
I am new to this site, and d@mn glad to be here.
Having been out to the desert the past couple of weeks with my nephew, we encountered a few others out last Saturday, which leads me to ask a question.
I have looked at the promotional items with Calguns logos on them, but do not see any flags. I would consider flying one at my shooting site so other calgunners know who I am and might stop by to say hey. However, I could see a reason not to advertise yourself, but then again all the loud pops kinda give that away anyway. Is there a reason there are no flags? Just interested either way...

I'd buy one if they were available.

I dislike bringing up a question without having a solution at the ready...
I guess i'm in the right forum, but do I need to ask anyone in the organization or am I good here? I assume it would need Calguns approval and design I know they would do a great job, and someone who is a silk screener to produce them. Sorry, I'm a Paralegal who has spent too much time on this thread this morning and have no time to coordinate such a thing. Could someone please pick this ball up and run with it... I'd appreciate it...thanks...and now back to work...

You should post it in the "Questions and Comments" thread here:

Do you mean car flags like these or full size flags?

I was thinking full size, although I want one of those too so i can be identified driving up on someone else. A flag large enough to be seen at a distance and easily recognizable to other calgun members, although i don't think I want to drag out a full size pole to put too large a flag on unless I find one that's collapsible... It would just ease my mind a little being out in the middle of BFE to be able to identify friend from ...someone we need to keep an eye on...and thanks for the responses.

Just because they fly a calguns flag doesn't mean they're in the clear. I've seen a lot of bad/illegal ideas floated here.
Wish I was rich instead of so damn good looking.

"The first flags were used to assist military coordination on battlefields."

And make no misake, we are in a battle. I think flags might be a good idea...

Just having a flag won't stop me from being wary of you when we meet...I'll just be more polite about it...LOL...

My CG flag was the second thing noticed by a sherrif. The first was the locked and loaded 1911 on my side. His attitude and expression suddenly changed when he saw the flag. I offered to surrender the pistol and he told me just to keep it holstered. We talked for a half hour or so and I shot 2, half lb. Tannerite targets for him. With a loaded 45 on my hip and 4 mags in front...An OLL and AK on the table. He left with a smile. If you are breaking the law or being stupid, a flag won't help you. Your intelligence (common sense) and attitude is your best defence against a weary cop responding to a shooting call.
Most of the CG'ers I have met are decent people. So I think a flag is a good way to meet others with the same interests. Just remember that there is ALWAYS that ONE. Ya Know? Letting your guard down when there is $5000 worth of firearms on the table with ammo and your car keys, cellphone, Camera, girlfriend, ETC. May be a temtation to A*sholes... Always be aware of your surroundings and have lots of witnesses.
