too many forums

I've been away from the forum for a bit and notice we're now up to 26 forums.

that's a bit much, no? for me personally, its somewhat of a headache scanning through the 26 forums to see which one i want to go read or post in..

just throwing it out there, maybe someone else agrees? site still rocks though!

Actually there is so much traffic here, that the forums that are here are necessary.

Well, in a few forums, if you're gone for one day, there is more than one page of new posts...

If you consolidate too much, then you'll have two or three pages, and people would be complaining that it's too busy and would leave.

So I know you have a valid point, but the forum has grown greatly, even in the short time that I've been here, that having things sorted out makes it easier to read, once you get used to the new layout, and it promotes more people finding the topics that they want to post in, and doesn't make sorting through a whole bunch of off-topic to find what you really want.

I don't scan all the forums, I just hit the "New Posts" button and scroll through the post titles to see if I want to read them.

You would think it would be easyer to find stuff with all the forums to narrow down your search with. I'm finding the opposite to be true. I get asked all the time if I had seen this thread or that thread... so I go to read up on it and can't ever find it.

All I can say is seach is my friend.
