A sure fire way to make Calguns be a better forum

First and foremost let me state I think calguns is very good as it is, almost perfect, but there can always be ways to make it better.

We somehow need to get to that crowd of folks who have collections in the family because dear old grandpa was a gun nut and they have 5 - M1 1942 Garands non issued in the basement, and they want to sell them for scrap value!!

And we need more of the guys selling NIB glock 26's for $200.00 and old (1999) surplus russian 7.62 x 39 for 3 cents a round.

And than there was the AR I bought once for $650.00. Now that alone isn't too magnificant, but when you get 5000 rounds of ammo gratis the deal begins to take on a better hue of gold!!

And there is always the story of the storage unit with 2-55 gallon containers of brass and another 55 gallon container of 45 and 9mm bullets (hollow points not doubt), two dillon 550s, and maybe a 650 too boot, all for the back rental fee of $700.00....god I want to throw up!!

The question is, how do we find those crazy sellers?? Do we advertise on power poles around town, or do a gun buyback at a grade school cookie bake off like the police??

Unfortunantly with the way the economy is i dont think people are going to be paying us to take things off their hand anymore. Would be awesome. But reality dictates. It aint gonna happen.

So you want to turn Calguns into a 2A pawn shop/consignment store? Not that I am against finding awesome deals for my personal collection but how does that help us practice our rights?

The more people who visit Calguns the more pople will realize guns and gun ownership are part of the community and not just weapons that "crackpots" own. I see guns in a whole other light than I did just three short years ago, and I already liked guns, shot pretty well, and "thought" I knew about guns.

I had no idea how guns worked, how to shoot well, how cartridges worked, how 2A anti's worked, how California and Federal law worked, and how guns are more of an art form than weaponery if you get beyond the basic prejudices.

The more people who visit the site, the more people will learn about the struggle, and the more people will contribute.

Why do you take a post which was more than 50% intended as a joke/wish and turn it into something bad?? How does saying we need looser sellers translate into I want Calguns to be a pawnshop? If you haven't been hiding under a rock you have to know Calguns does a fair amount of commerce already between its members. But since you asked, there it is...broader readership should mean broader acceptance unless they run into a sour puss member who hammers them on their first post.
