Curious about the SD regional forum

I get that we are all responsible for promoting gun rights, safety and the 2nd amendment. Is there a specific mission statement for the SD regional forum? Only certain individuals are allowed to post, and that has led to about 30 posts total by 6 or 7 people over a few years (or what's shown in the forum).

Be a contributor, go to a booth, etc. Who is in charge of SD? it seems like Penny's dad (Jacob) does a lot of double posting in SD/LA. Not a knock on him. The few threads that are posted, are all read by a bunch of people (or maybe the same person 100s of times), so the viewership is out there. What can we do to make the forum more accessible and relevant to the region? With 24 moderators, I suspect that irrelevant posts would go away.

A few of the posts are linked directly to activities from the OC/LA/etc group, which is cool, but they are not SD specific. Another recent one I read doesn't seem to post enough info. IE- are a few $100 donations by individuals going to change a City/County Sheriff policy regarding CCW, vs. $100k by industry that makes money on gun sales? What is CGNs stance on lobbying or lending the name to those entities? It is not readily apparent in the SD forum. Is this even a SD forum-limited question? Or should it be?

    I think you're conflating a few things.

First, anyone can post in the regional forums (you may not, however, start threads unless you are an admin/mod/coordinator/C3 leader).

Secondly, CGF and CGN are two separate entities. CGN (of which C3 Outreach is a component) may, as a private incorporated business, lobby and perform similar functions. CGF, as a 501(c)3 non-profit, may only limitedly lobby and cannot inject itself into campaigns or make endorsements.

The $100 sponsorships are individuals who are placing their money where their mouth is and supporting our (CGF's) Initiative, which has an will continue to make California "shall issue" through strategically litigating constitutional law issues, as well as force recalcitrant Sheriffs to follow state and federal law on applications and other process requirements. We have a proven track record of success that happens to be growing rapidly.

What industry is supporting California gun rights with $100k? I'm a board member of CGF (also Treasurer), and a board member of CRPA (the state's NRA affiliate) - I'm still waiting for "industry" to step up to the plate. CGF has a lawsuit in Federal court to overturn the Roster, but we've seen little interest from "industry" that benefits from it to support our ongoing litigation costs. Mark LaRue is one notable exception, who generously committed to supporting CGF with a donation of $1,000 per month "until the cows come home" (paraphrasing his words here).

Thank you for your clarification regarding the CGF and CGN. i disagree on the conflating issues comment, unless I should only pose one question per post regarding the particular forum.
