Suggestion for the "For Sale" sections

If a person were to list the price, location, and willing to ship or not as the first words in the ad, then the rest of us could just hover our pointer over the link and get that info before even clicking on the ad. Just an idea...don't shoot me

Would definately speed up the brousing and allow more time to be in the other sections.

    Just putting it out there..

We could also divide the section into long guns and pistols. Also, it should be mandatory to list the caliber of any gun for sale.

I've got a better one: How about people should NOT bump their ads when their item gets SOLD? What good does it do other than pushing other people's active ads off the front page? That annoys the heck out of me.

Same thing with people that bump their thread with "back in the safe" when nobody bites. If it's off the market then let it sink.

If you have multiple items, PLEASE delete the items in the title that are SOLD, leaving only what is available in the title.

I started a thread about this a while back and got no response. I was suggesting that we break up the FS section into county. I primarily only do FTF deals and it would make browsing so much easier if I could just go to a Contra Costa FS section or a Alameda County FS section. If everyone would just follow the rules and list there location in the title it would not be a problem but most people do not.

I like the people that delete there last btt, ttt, bump so they can bump it again before the 24 hour wait is up.

I see they moved the thread. Right place I guess, but the ones who need to see it the most probably won't now..

I really hate the "wildcard" WTS posts... "Cleaning out safe!" or "Garage too full" or "Too much crap!" or "mags parts and stuff". If that's all that's in the title, it doesn't tell us anything. Where is the stuff located? How do we know what was in the garage or safe? Mags and parts for what? I.E: The poster may only think in terms of EBR's and that may be fine for him, but again... it doesn't do anyone else any good.

I've noticed that too and am not happy about it.

Over on Bimmerforums you have to fill out details about the sale when posting so all of the threads show up as such:

                        TITLE SHIPPING (Yes/No) LOCATION PRICE

Separate rimfire sections for long guns and pistols!

How about, in addition to differen forums for long guns, pistols and counties, we also have seperate forums (within each of those above forums) for black guns and non-black guns? And then sub-divide the forums even further into wood stock or synthetic stock? Oh! And we can also add stock trigger and custom trigger to the mix.

Actually, we can also sub divide them further into manufacturer of the receiver. And then furthermore into manufacturer of the barrel, then of the stock, and so forth.

Okay, it's getting silly. Point is...there's a search function. Put some effort into looking for what you want. Sheesh!
