Why is it that Blackpowder or muzzleloading people, have to sort through a ton of the all Nazi relics and War Memorabilia just to find info about a muzzleloading concern?
I would most certainly appreciate it, if we Muzzleloaders and Blackpowder folks could have our own peaceful corner of the valley, where we can intelligently discuss hunting with the various black powder guns, or perhaps the various changes taking place with blackpowder laws throughout the nation, but California in particular. We could discuss the various blackpowder ammo and gun manufacturers' types of service and products they provide to us Californians. We could do this in an atmosphere where we would most likely be unmolested by the kinds of people who are mesmerized by nazi war relics, hatred, and human bloodlust!
1) Muzzleloaders can discuss traditional muzzleloaders versus contemporary inlines. *(Not about Hunting)
2) Muzzleloaders can discuss the hunting season and where certain game may be and what's the best ammo to use.
3) Muzzleloaders can discuss the legalties of various blackpowder issues. *(Not about Hunting)
4) Muzzleloaders can discuss how technology is changing the blackpowder culture. *(Not about Hunting)
5) Muzzleloaders can actually talk about the blackpowder culture and use their little "corner of the valley" in order to strengthen their culture under one unified banner of blackpowder. *(Not about Hunting)
6) Calguns.net could become the place where all Americans and especially Californians, can e-convene in order to educate newbies and novices about the entire sport of muzzleloading.
7) Calguns.net could become the place where moderately experienced muzzleloaders, can become experts, due to the fact that over the years, their knowledge from the Calguns.net-Muzzleloading's little "corner of the valley", accumulates, and gives them the opportunity to receive highly educational information about the subject of blackpowder, from highly experienced muzzleloading enthusiasts. *(Not about Hunting)
8) Calguns.net could become the conduit whereby the older generation can share a common interest with the younger generation in an American tradition that deserves to be saved, honored, and practiced for generations to come. *(Not necessarily about hunting)
9) Muzzleloading involves the science of physics, chemistry, psychology, biology, and philosophy. So does hunting. However, with muzzleloading, it brings it to the forefront where one can actually discuss the mass of a projectile under the thrust of a specific propellant. One can actually see, feel, and measure both the projectile and the powder. You can actually decide upon the particular projectile that you would like to use and place it into your muzzleloader. Afterwards, you can alter or modify either the powder charge or the projectile in order to fit your desired result. * ( Most certainly not necessarily related to Hunting)
10) And lastly! There's the Muzzleloader itself! It's a piece of history, if you're a traditionalist! It's perhaps an instrument of science, if you're an empericist! Fortunately or not, it might just be an inexpensive weapon used to just place meat on the table, for a struggling head of household who merely uses the sport to just get away, and kill two birds with one stone...
It's better than abusing drugs or causing problems in an already stress-ridden society...
Muzzleloading, unlike shooting center or rimfire guns, immerses you into nature and often times, it just takes your breath away. It takes your breath away because nature itself is so overpowering! You've got to get closer to your prey than ordinary hunting. Often times, you can actually see that deer that has the little baby fawns. You'd be crazy to shoot something so beautiful! So you just sit there mesmerized, and watch the beauty of nature take its course and you postpone the hunt for yet, another day.
Curio & Relics folks just don't belong with Muzzleloaders!
That's like mixing Peanut Butter with Camel Dung.
They might be the same color, but nothing else do they have in common!
Respectfully,
Koanbred
PS.
* Indicates that Muzzleloading should also not be included in hunting, since all muzzleloaders don't hunt and many muzzleloading concerns, are not necessarily related to hunting.
However, alternatively, it would possibly better if Muzzleloaders could have a small section to themselves where they could discuss all Muzzleloading concerns, including hunting. We Muzzleloaders are a different breed of sorts and we're growing!

I was wondering why I need to wade through a bunch of black powder posts when I'm just trying to learn about Curio & Relic guns.
