Avatars?

So I've been trying to upload this avatar, but I can't seem to find how. Do I use the picture request? How big can an avatar be? Also can they be animated?

It should work. You have to click on "user cp" and then follow the links on the left. There is a size limit.

More to the point, when you click on edit avatar in user cp the only option available is 'Do not use an avatar'. It is preselected and unable to be deselected.

Is the "Use Custom Avatar" option available?
You're supossed to choose that to get rid of the "Do not use avatar".
It works from my end.

In my User CP custom avatars are not available as an option.
The following is the only text shown in Edit Avatar.

No Avatar Specified
Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
(This is preselected) Do not use an avatar
Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it.

Now even the avatar option disappeared. It's gremlins, I tell ya.
