Work harder to get rid of that gzip and gif stuff. Switch to zstd and webp.
Don't think they can do webp just yet. Just wanted to give you a +1 for your legit suggestions.

Hmmm, I just did a page-refresh and content disappeared. Hopefully there will not be a double post...

The site is served by Cloudflare, and webp is not a problem. All content coming from Google is webp compressed. The standard is now 5 years
old. That is like 100 years in human time. Just configure the Cloudflare to transcode all .gif and .jpg files >64K to be webp compressed.

Get rid of gzip, which was great in the 1990s. But not for the last two decades. Re-encode everything to to be zstd --ultra -22 and actually
use the headers correctly. If the browser can take zstd, send the content zstd. What is wrong with using a faster compression tool that
provides better compression? Is the goal to slow things down? Hopefully not.
What about the 19th? Can the Commerce Clause be used to make it illegal for voting women to buy shoes from another state?
