Tapatalk Sold To New Owners, Many Forums Relocating to the Fora App

Tapatalk was recently sold to new owners and there have been many forums dropping its services and relocating to the Fora app over the last week. Will Calguns be doing the same?

Yes I?ve been wondering this myself. I currently have a subscription with tapatalk but will cancel if calguns moves as well

It is my understanding that most of our favorite forums are under a single company umbrella and the new owners of Tapatalk are wanting quite a bit more money to use the platform. Because of the increase in cost, the forums are all moving over to Fora where fees are considerably less.

Every single one of the forums that I was following on Tapatalk has moved over to Fora other than Calguns. My Tapatalk VIP subscription was about ready to renew so I cancelled and dropped the app.
Calguns is the last hold out and I hope they move over to Fora as well.

You know I've always just used Android phone and the "iPhone version" wallpaper of Calguns.

I don't know what features I'm missing but the only thing I can't do, even if I click into the normal version of cal guns is posting images without using a image hosting website.

So I don't see what the big benefit is about Tapatalk, could someone enlighten me?

To post pictures and to jump from one forum to another very quickly. The ability to manage all gun forums from one place was very convenient but no more

My forum uses the Tapatalk plugin and it doesn't cost my site anything to use it. I'm perplexed by why forums would be disconnecting access.

We don't host our forum on Tapatalk servers, just allow users (and me) to connect through the plugin.

That?s interesting. May be gun forums were being hosted on tapatalk servers and it was going to cost a lot.

Things may be changing with the new owners. I have received no less than 6 emails from different forums which have all said that they are leaving Tapatalk for Fora. The new Tapatalk owners have probably made huge management changes and forum administrators are either accepting the new terms or jumping ship.
