    Dedicated recipe forum needed

This suggestion has been brought up here before but many years ago so it's time to revive it.
We need a dedicated recipe forum mainly for a place to share and store our favorite culinary creations without having to search through all of the other posts in the vastly populated "off topic" lounge.
For example, at this moment page 1 and 2 in the "off topic" lounge are posts just from today and yesterday so you can see how easy a recipe can be buried for eternity in a short period of time. For a shocking comparison, the entire "MARKETPLACE" section at this moment has 4,542,071 posts. The individual "off topic" lounge has 8,249,402 total posts, nearly twice as many as the "MARKETPLACE"! To do a search for a certain type of recipe in "off topic" might probably work but at the same time will also pull up a countless number of unrelated recipe topics with that same search word somewhere within its content.
There's a lot of talented "foodies" here that I'm sure would contribute into the new and secure dedicated recipe forum-if we had one.

There is one in a less active place, but we would need to enter the Ladies Forum and behave a bit better than in Off Topic.

Otherwise, maybe a recipe "Sticky" in OT?

I like the BBQ/Smoker thread but it grew too large. It would be nice to have a place to discuss things like that.

I come here for the gun related topics. But, this has really become a community. I like being able to come to one place and discuss more topics, like cooking.

I've mentioned in reloading section; I enjoy reloading in the same way I enjoy cooking. Working up recipes, testing etc.

          I like the idea!

            I like the idea..

Cross posting from the OT thread:

I like the idea of it keeping the threads current. I don't know about its own subforum.

Tell you what though. I love me some good food porn. And I've cooked a few recipies from here... yum.

Jason2111 sweet potato cheesecake is AMAZING
Alan Block- Peters Hotel recipe.... YUM
Skyhawk - prime rib was super helpful, but i smoked mine the whole time instead YUM

So it again looks like a dedicated food recipe thread forum falls flame/lame by the janitor's wayside. Too bad as not having one creates countless unnecessary of in depth searches in "off topic" for precious culinary delights.

It's Calguns. There are so many other forums for everything else to choose from.

Less dilution and more focus. CalGuns doesn't need to be everything for everyone. Recognize this isn't some huge corporate managed place.

If one wants a recipe, visit a recipe forum somewhere. Do food forums have gun subforums? Not really so why put food subforums in here? What's next, cars, motorcycles, video games and all that too? CalGuns doesn't need to be totally inclusive, equitable, and divided up into a thousand different interests. The interest is firearms. Like to share recipes? There is already a forum for that.

It's Calguns not CalFood. Granted, some of us hunt and have recipes but then why not share that with people who are into that instead of lotst of people who aren't?

Everyone also has to live somewhere, does that mean we need a real estate forum?

Everyone needs to wear clothes (usually) so do we also need a fashion forum?
