Marketplace Bumping & Multiple Threads

The one I’ve seen that’s bugged me a bit was bumping a post with “SOLD” and the title is edited to “SOLD” as well.
In your case, just hit the red triangle on the top right of the post and report it to the Mods. They may be overwhelmed or just too nice but I do see the need to enforce that especially if others aren’t bumping posts multiple times a day. -

Yea that's another problem I see often too. Bumping a post when you could simply just edit it.
I was originally reporting the posts but it's rampant enough that I felt I was causing more trouble to the Mods and that is not what I intended to do.
I understand we can't control people, that's unreasonable expectation. Personally I think I am more perturbed now because I don't think it was happening before or I simply did not notice it. And it's definitely noticeable now when you see three threads from the same person popping up multiple times a day.Have any Real Estate and/or Mortgage related questions? Multiple bumps s/b reported, sometimes somebody adds some new info instead of editing is a wobbler.
Auctions are my pet Marketplace peeve.
Random useless trivia:
What is the origin of the word peeve?
“Peeve” is derived from the much older word “peevish,” which means “querulous” or “easily irritated.” “Peevish” comes from late Middle English, with examples appearing as early as the 15th century. So it would seem the phrase “pet peeve” doesn’t have much to do with actual pets.Originally posted by Kestryll:

Marketplace here has always been a zoo...lately it's turned into a very bad dream.Yea that's another problem I see often too. Bumping a post when you could simply just edit it.

Mods do their absolute best but they don't search the threads...we've got to notify them. What might be nice is a free week off for idiot's that can't read the rules and/or otherwise don't give a damn.True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Why not just disregard posts we don't like? Why do we have to do SOMETHING about everything we don't like?
The Mods are doing fine, its just hard to keep up with.

It’s not doing SOMETHING for things we don’t like.
It’s people breaking the rules.
If people followed the rules, threads like this wouldn’t exist. And without the rules, the forum will be bonkers. And if we continue to ignore, we’d just waste time going through clutter.Comment

I agree ScottsBad, I don't mind ignoring posts that are price gouging or poorly advertised.
The point of my thread was that I do not think it is fair for members who follow the rules and post/bump once every 24 hours for their listings to be pushed soon after to page 2+ because other members are bumping their threads multiple times a day. Even if you ignore them, there's so much more junk threads you have to wade through repeatedly.
But I get it, it's not a big deal. It's definitely a gripe that some other people experience.
Completely missed the point of my thread.Have any Real Estate and/or Mortgage related questions? Over 15 years of Residential, Commercial, Investment, Management, & Land Experience. Primarily help Veterans. Shoot me a PM.Comment
