Shouldn't count for post count. There's an infinite number of BTT, bump, to the top, etc type posts that inflate people's post counts. Like, literally dozens of bumps in single threads. They add nothing to the forum and shouldn't count towards post count. That is all!

PS I almost always delete my previous bumps when I add a new one, to keep things clean and not inflate my post count.

Neither bumps from ads, nor Off Topic comments go toward post count. That's what I was told by one of the mods some time ago.

FWIW...
Because of this, I delete the "bump" posts in any WTS/WTB posts that are closed because the item was sold/traded/withdrawn.

Someone turned off post count for OT a while ago... makes no difference to me
