    Zero text posts

Any chance we could quit posting ONLY a link without any descriptive text? Obviously, an answer to a direct question would be exempt.

On other boards it's called "drive by" posting. If you post just a link with no descriptive commentary or something like "this sucks" you are:
            1. Expecting people to follow the link to something they don't care about.
            2. Rudely wasting other member's time if they've already seen it.
            3. Providing NULL content if the link fails (even at a later date)
            4. NOT participating in a discussion, but pushing whatever the story is.

This includes posting an entire article without posting your commentary or asking for some kind of feedback. Remember too, some of the URL's are "shortened" by the forum software so it's not always easy to see if the link goes to a credible site.

Unfortunately, Kestryl hasn't made this part of the board etiquette yet.

Let Me Google That For You (LMGTFY): for all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than search it for themselves.
