Site not sending email notifications for PM's

For some reason, I'm no longer receiving email notifications whe I receive a PM. I've checked my ISP Spam/Graymail folder and nothing there. Any ides as to what the issue could be?

I just tested and got mine instantly. Check your User CP make sure the option is still enabled.

Yeah, I forgot to mention I checked all my settings already and everything is as it should be. Also just sent myself a test PM and received no email notification.

Whenever this happen to me I usually log off for a couple of hours then log back in and everything goes back to normal

This action had no effect on the issue.

Maybe try this:

Clear out the site's settings where you entered your email address
Log out of CGN
Clear your cookies
Log back in
Set up your email contact info again


Edit: Do you get email notifications to thread subscriptions?

Ot is also possible that your ISP has blacklisted the mail server ip. Last time I checked the mail server ip it was being geolocated as being in Italy. I discovered it after I had setup my email server at home to block all non-North American ip addresses to block spam.

Did as you suggested - no change. And yes, I am receiving emails for replies to subscribed threads.

Good suggestion but I'm getting email notifications for replies to subscribed threads so my ISP can't be the issue.

Uncheck the box on your UserCP for email notifications of PM, make sure you go to the bottom of the page and ‘Save Changes’.

Then turn it back on and save changes. Send yourself a PM and see what happens.

I've already done that and it changed nothing. If the site is sending me email notifications for thread replies but not for PM's, would that not indicate the problem lies within the forum software?

That is my thought too, I was just trying to see if you could shake it off somehow. By trying all these things, you have at least eliminated what it isn't and that will help narrow down what it is.

There may be some janky flag or something on your account that only a site admin can fix.
