Need to make itrader feedback easier

    I love CalGuns.
I love buying and selling things on CalGuns.
I love the itrader feedback rating system on CalGuns.

I hate trying to leave feedback for a transaction on CalGuns.
It's way too complicated and for some reason, every time I copy and paste the Url of the "Deal thread" it comes up as "The deal URL is invalid!". No matter what I do to cut down the url to eliminate search criteria.

Leaving feedback needs to be way more, click, click, done.

    Thanks and happy Thanksgiving.

Remove the S from HTTPS in the deal URL. Simple.

Just use http not https in front of your deal URL.

Was wondering how you even do this. I show 4 feedbacks but have bought 5 guns, sold 7 or 8 & done 4 ammo transactions. Is there something written that walks you through it? I went to my i trader page but didn't see anything that explained it... Thank you, Bill

Thank you, SkyHawk. That was the answer.
Sure would be nice if it said to remove the "secure" s out of https.

And, I still think itrader could be easier.

I agree it could be easier. I have about 50 missing feedback, if it was easier to leave my score would probably be higher.

Copy and paste the sale URL and leave a comment, how much easier could it really be?

What needs to be done is a method installed that we can go back and remove our positive rating from someone when they do not bother to give us one.
I almost always leave feedback within an hour of the FTF transaction or as soon as payment is received on shipped items.

Multiple sales to an individual will only show up with the first feedback he leaves. Ten sales? One feedback only, I've never understood that one. A sale is a sale and any positive transaction deserves a positive rating.

agree with this thread. the feedback system does need streamlining. it's not impossible, but for the casual user many just won't bother troubleshooting it.
this forum is on vbulletin which is pretty much figured out by now.

Unfortunately the iTrader plug in is damn near as old as Calguns itself, it was released in 2009, and was never updated by the author.

We've been tinkering with it for years just trying to keep it on life support, wholesale changes are out of the question.
However people use it and rely on it so much that we've put off updating the forum software itself because doing so will reset everyone to 0 with a new system.

What if you somehow attached everyone's current itrader score to their username?

                    Such as uberpatriot(+81)

                    Then started a new itrader.

If my new itrader was 4 and my old itrader was 81 that would be 85.
