    Email notifications not being sent?

    I've started to notice that subscribed threads are being updated but I am no longer getting email notifications.

    For example, I received a notification 7:41pm 1/5 for a thread I'm subscribed to but have not received any following notifications DESPITE being on the site numerous times since then. There have been several updates since then that I have not received.

    I also started my own thread at 10:45am this morning and have not received email notifications for any of the responses. Again, I have been on the site throughout the day and should've received notifications.

    Not sure where to report a possible defect, so hopefully this thread helps (and hopefully others chime in as to whether or not they are/aren't experiencing the same symptom).

      I have had problems with the site several times from sending messages to signing in or out. something is not right.

        no. Happens to me. There desn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it for me. sometimes works consistently, sometimes it drops off just as you described.

          Phew, thank you. I was beginning to question my sanity. I already tried flipping the settings to no avail.

          Any idea who I can contact? I don't like missing updates, and I haven't done anything to block these mails so I'm baffled.

          I use Comcast email in case anyone that's useful. I doubt they're blocking the IP but who knows.

            I haven't figured out why it happens so I just try to remember to go back and check my threads. Usually a second post will "catch" and then I get notifications.

              I responded to a classified add several weeks ago wanting to buy a guys rifle. I've also sent a PM. He is either not subscribed, or not getting notifications, or just doesn't care. I have no way to contact him. He is probably relying on notifications rather than checking his thread for replies. Frustrating..I'll probably just go ahead and buy the other that I'm looking at on another site.

                I also use Comcast and my Calguns notifications have stopped for about the last week. Any ideas to fix?

                  this is becoming a very undependable site and it is not us. So what is management doing about it? apparently nothing they wish to tell us about.

                    Decided to change from secondary comcast to primary comcast email address. Notification did not come through.

                    Changed it to my gmail address and it arrived immediately. Time to reach out to comcast.

                        Been having the same problem for the past two weeks. Also use comcast.

                          I changed my notification email to a different account and it came right through. Definitely a Comcast issue. They are probably blocking firearms related sites!
