Question on number of pages to view in "new posts"

When using my Android phone, sometimes the number of pages of threads with new posts is 2, sometimes 11 or more.

I clear "personal data" and often go to application, clear cache, and don't see a difference. I do have my login set to remember password.

What am I missing here?

I hope I am right, but I have seen the same thing.
At times, there will only be a handful of threads on the page, nothing close to the 40 that I think is max. and then the count builds back up.

I am going to put my neck out and say it is a CG admin. "reset" of some kind, not our fault.

I make no claim for why though.
