Image spam idea

I hope this is the right forum for this, if not feel free to move.

It seems like I'm seeing more and more image spam. I assume it's so they (idk who "they" refers to) can collect data about who visits calguns.

There are quite a few forums where you can't post images until you have x posts. I think it would make sense to set it up so you have to have been a member for a month, AND have 30 posts, before being able to post images. I know, it would be inconvenient for some people, but not for all that long. Given that the text portion of the post is generally a direct copy/paste from earlier in the same thread, or it's a thread that makes no sense, it wouldn't be hard to ID the accounts before they reach that 30/30.

Yeah, wrong forum, you want to ask Kes to change the behavior of the site (if I understand your post correctly) so you want the Announcements and Suggestions sub-forum

One of the main reasons people first join Calguns is to post a for sale ad for a firearm. Those people need to be able to post pictures from their very first post.

If newbies are limited to linking images only, instead of images showing online, that would defeat their purpose. Sellers can still show pics of their guns as clickable links.
