Suggestion for Regional Private Sale of Firearms

I have had so many disappointments finding handguns or rifles that I want in the Marketplace, just to find the seller unwilling or unable to ship or meet me even half the distance. For buyers, this means making two trips, one for the FTF PPT, the second trip 10 days later to pick the firearm up.

What do Calgunners think of dividing up the Marketplace to regions for those unwilling or unable to ship, and a separate statewide section for those who are willing? Buyers that are willing or have plans to travel can search in the regions they are heading. Sellers are less likely to get inquiries from those unable to buy their ware.

it has been brought up multiple times with no change. I feel it should just stay as it is.

If I am looking at firearms, and am willing to travel, but not planning on, I don't want to have to look in 2-58 separate handgun forums, and then in 2-58 rifle and shotgun forums.

I can quickly read a title and spot a location if there is one in the title. too far? just move on. no location listed, click on the link, take 5 seconds to determine location. too far? move on.

there is no need to separate out the marketplace forums into 2-58 separate regional forums.

Yeah, I can see the arguments for an against the 2+ marketplace idea. If people would just follow the damn guidelines on the regular marketplace, it would be a lot easier, especially pertaining to location in the title.

It has been discussed repeatedly. There was a poll last year and the idea of dividing the marketplace won...and nothing changes.

Tough one, Yes it would be nice to at least know NorCal or Socal
however like stated if people post according to instruction then we would not have an issue.

I'd be satisfied if they just required "Location" and "Will ship / No Shipping" in the title line. If mods would simply block/delete add without that, the problem would be fixed quickly.
