Message Center not working?

When I go to message center and click Inbox or Sent Items, it just loads and loads and loads and then crashes. I haven't been able to go to my inbox or sent messages in forever. Tried multiple browsers and nothing works. Anyone else having these issues?

Thought I would be able to duplicate your problem when hovering on the 'Messages' menu item didn't immediately produce a drop down list but no joy, clicked on the bell and got in from there. Checked everything and everything works. I sent a test PM to a fellow member to check to see if he's having any problems.

So far I haven't been able to get the system to malfunction, even when the forum was not working. If one could post to threads, one could send/receive PM's. At least I could.

I get a bit of a lag when selecting "message center", but it allows me in (using Opera). I can switch between Inbox, Sent and Sold folders and still see my messages from the old site.

When I click "Messages" at the top it pulls down the drop down, then I click "Go to Message Center" and it takes me to the message center. In there I see a screen that says shows the inbox preview, requests preview, notifications preview and all of them say There are no new messages, There are no new requests, There are no new notifications.

Off to the left side there is a panel with different options: Inbox, Sent Items, Add a Folder, Trash, etc. When I click inbox, the site loads for a bit and then goes to a screen that says "Gateway Timeout The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application."

Screenshot is attached of what my Message Center looks like. I'd really like to get this fixed. I've sent a bunch of messages on classified posts and I'm not sure if my messaging is even going through because I can't access my sent box.

I just sent a message a bit back earlier and got a response back, BUT I'm using Win-7 and the Extended release of Firefox, no other browser really works on my old machine. I've found that those that have newer versions have more issues in various areas of this site. Just an observation over the last 3 or so years, so don't take it to the bank.

Hope you get it fixed what ever the issue.

As a "shot in the dark" (no pun intended) try switching your theme from Calguns V2 to something else.

Here's my message center. Note I have 1 current notification. No inbox messages. Also note mine shows Posts and users. Post list goes back to 2021 due to the 100 limit. Don't see any on yours.

There's a lot of themes/skins so I took a look and tried to duplicate the problem but so far no joy. Message system is rock solid on my access whenever checked. I use a 3yo OEM browser on a Mac laptop for the forum. Nothing is blocked, not even the banner ads.

However, this same setup kept me logged into the forum even when it was having problems. Access may have been 504 but when it worked, never had to log in. The forum read the cookies and auto-logged in. Been like that since first using this laptop for the forum.

Perhaps access type has something to do with it.

Having same issue. As soon as I'm trying to access Inbox or message center it tries to load for few min and crashes or freezes.

It must be transitory. Lightning fast here and old messages appear to all be there, going back ten years. I only became a contributor recently so any PM box function prior was as a regular member.

mine started working after I posted this post and someone sent me a message. maybe getting a message did something to make it work. I'll shoot you a PM right now, try going to message center before opening the message.

I also encountered something troublesome here. When I am trying to send a reply to a post, the server always replied "Servor Error", and when I refresh it, it seems like it has been successfully sent. I don't know whether my messages or replies can actually be seen.
