It's looking quite janky - such a shame. Maybe this is finally the hint it's time to vacate Calguns for good.

While I'm not the slightest bit concerned about any 'information' about me a hacker could learn here, because it would only lead to misnomers, dead-ends, and a nothing email; nevertheless, this was the message I've been getting this morning when just trying to access the page - whether logged in or not:

    Your connection is not private

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.calguns.net (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more about this warning
    net::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

www.calguns.net normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Chrome tried to connect to www.calguns.net this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials.

This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be www.calguns.net, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit www.calguns.net right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

    Lame.

The SSL Certificate has been allowed to 'expire' in the recent past.

Not a good look, but let's see what happens since today is an holiday.

The site seems to be working pretty spiffy now.

          Who are all these "guests"?

So "capacity" doesn't seem to be an issue.

How it was working when I posted and how it's been working since are two, different things.

As others are posting, one of the major differences is that when I posted it was working pretty spiffy, there were only around 20 members and 2,000 guests. Right now, there are 124 members and over 192,000 guests. That's a lot of bots and a potential sign of the system being overwhelmed.

                But, who knows.

Overall, right now speed is good. Getting to the notification window still lags.

                    The guest count is ridiculous.

150 members struggling to get online. I wonder if the 155,000 guests are getting online.

                      Maybe 2 more weeks . . .
