I think I need a mods help. A while back I started getting all sorts of notifications. How can I stop this? I can’t delete them fast enough to keep up.

Go to your user setting, then the Notifications tab. Uncheck the items you don't want. Bear in mind there are not many. I turn off the email notification so my mail box doesn't get clogged up.
